Born and raised in a lower middle-class family in Penang, Thomas worked to support himself through university in Auckland, New Zealand. Recruited on campus by PwC, he worked there for a year before returning to Malaysia to help Swiss company Brown Boveri to start up their operations there. With the merger that formed Asea Brown Boveri in 1988, Thomas was transferred to Hong Kong as an expatriate Chief Financial Officer for ABB’s operations in China and Hong Kong.
In 1991, he was assigned to ABB Power Ventures in Zurich to join a team to restructure ABB’s acquisitions in Eastern Europe. Ironic that ABB would get a Chinaman from their HK/China operations to help “westernise” their Eastern European operations. For more than a year, Thomas spent most of his time in Wroclaw, Poland, and moved his young family there.
Upon returning to Hong Kong, Thomas was assigned to start-up ABB’s first few joint ventures in China. He set up ABB China Investments Ltd and was its first Managing Director.

Gabriel is an Environmental Engineer with over ten years of experience in the private and public sectors, with strong exposure to the elaboration of environmental management plans, planning and implementation of monitoring of DJSI, GRI, and IFC indicators – Environmental and Social Sustainability, including the preparation and budgetary controls and ESG risk management.
He also works as an Independent Verification Analyst with a global partner of B Lab.
Gabriel is a graduate of Environmental Engineering and has taken his Master’s Degree in Architecture and Sustainability.
LATAM Market, Brazil
Eric currently works as an Independent Verification Analyst with a global partner of B Lab. He also has extensive experience in environmental science and sustainability working for a couple of companies in Brazil.
Prior to this, he was a chemical analyst at Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems where he developed programs and processes for Environmental Management Systems. During his successful stint at this company, he also facilitated the training of their employees and outsourced workers on environmental science and sustainability.
Eric gained his Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and Technology at Universidade do Vale do Itajaí in 2021 and is taking his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in Brazil.
APAC Market, Indonesia
Ananta is an experienced professional with 10 years of expertise in environmental management, specializing in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices. Starting as an EIA consultant and HSE field professional, Ananta has been an integral part of an international company in South Asia, specializing in air pollution control for the past five years. This role provided him with hands-on experience in implementing effective measures to mitigate air pollution and promote sustainable practices.
Ananta pursued a Master’s Degree in Taiwan, focusing on Life Cycle Assessment, Energy Management, and CO2 Emission studies. This academic pursuit enhanced his ability to assess the environmental impact of various processes and develop effective energy management strategies.
APAC Market, Philippines
Angel is currently the lead for a Recruitment Support company since 2015. She has a solid decade of recruitment experience acquired through various headhunting companies, where she has developed a deep understanding of the industry. Throughout her career, she has successfully filled numerous positions in areas such as Finance, HR, and Manufacturing, across diverse sectors including Financial, Semiconductors, and FMCG industries.
In addition to her recruitment expertise, Angel also works as an Independent Verification Analyst on a part-time basis, further expanding her skill set and knowledge base on ESG.
Angel holds a bachelor’s degree Degree in Psychology from Far Eastern University, providing her with valuable insights into human behavior and enhancing her ability to understand and connect with individuals in the recruitment process.

Michelle is currently an Independent Verification Analyst working with a global partner of B Lab. She has worked with companies all over the USA, Europe, Latin America, Australia, Asia and Africa.
Prior to this, she had a 20-year corporate career that spanned roles in the insurance industry, quality management within a manning agency, and a sales position in the logistics sector.
Michelle holds a college degree in Banking and Finance and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

Robin has run businesses and mentored many startups in the technology and sustainability space for over 20 years. He worked with partners including UNHCR and UNDP on multiple projects in Europe and Asia on the latest technology in solar energy, inclusivity, and social impact. Robin is now a full-time Independent Verification Analyst working with a global partner of B Lab.
Prior to his current role, he served as the Digital and CSR Director at Visibility Design in Singapore where he succeeded in developing effective solutions for his clients in pivoting their businesses to have more sustainable business models.
Robin graduated with honors from the National University of Singapore where he gained his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Rani is currently an Independent Verification Analyst working with a global partner of B Lab. She reviews companies around the world applying for B Corp certification.
For over 25 years, Rani’s primary role was in Human Resources (HR) with a diversified group of companies with businesses both local and international. She has also worked and led many different areas of corporate management, risk management, and audit with various industries such as private aviation, retail, medical and properties.
Rani holds a College Degree in Personnel Management and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Management.
EMEA Market & LATAM, Switzerland & Colombia
Juliana is an ESG advisor and trainer who also currently works as an Independent Verification Analyst with a global partner of B Lab. She works closely with companies across the globe on the worldwide verification of their sustainability performance and positive impact to become or recertify as B Corp.
Prior to being part of B Lab, she managed quality control at Glodtour Travel Agency in Colombia where she achieved the accreditation and recertification of one international standard and six different Colombian technical standards.
Juliana obtained her Master’s Degree in Sustainability Management at Curtin University in Colombia in 2020.

Eriona is currently working as an Independent Verification Analyst with a global partner of B Lab. She reviews companies around the world applying for B Corp certification, which is the gold standard for ESG in Business. She has worked for such companies all over Europe, Canada, Australia and the USA.
Prior to this, she had a 12-year corporate career in Human Resources, Finance, and Sales and was also engaged as an external consultant with international NGOs such as Swisscontact focusing on youth employment projects.
Eriona holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management.

Juliana holds a degree in Portuguese Language, and her previous career focused on the media and arts industries, where she worked as a Broadcast Producer and a Proofreader.

In addition, she is also an advocate of social economic equality for women and underprivileged communities.

Simona spent her early years in HR and talent acquisition working as a consultant and recruitment partner in the headhunting and executive search industry. She is very much experienced in client-partner building and management, infused with talent matching and candidate profiling.
In her previous role as the Quality and Training Lead for Genashtim’s Recruitment Support (RS) outsourcing services, she played a pivotal role in establishing the training foundation for new RS hires, ensuring their seamless integration into their roles. This included the development of efficient processes to enhance the formatting, profiling, and matching of candidate CVs, ultimately optimizing search placements.
Simona has a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius, Macedonia.
Stella currently serves on the board of Genashtim, a B Corp certified organization and has done so for over a decade. She has been instrumental in helping co-create and expand the company’s HR suite of services for effective deployment towards organizational and people development.
With 30 years of experience in HR management, Stella has driven HR transformation for over two decades. She has led local and regional teams in top 100 corporations, including Sumitomo Banking Corporation, Hongkong and Shanghai Bank, AIA, and American Express, primarily based in Singapore.
Stella holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.
Ian has over 20 years of experience in human resources and general management both locally and in the region, with large multinational corporations such as Intel, IBM, Telus, Goodyear, and Accenture.
Prior to joining ESG Talent, he served as the Head of Human Resources for Genashtim, an award-winning global for-profit social enterprise, transforming its HR practices from a start-up to world-class. During this time, he also headed a team that provided backroom processes for a global HR recruitment firm.
Ian has earned his Master’s Degree in Psychology, majoring in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, and is currently pursuing certifications in Talent Management and ESG.
Dr. Brace is an experienced consultant and trainer specializing in people systems, processes, psychological safety, and organizational change. With a PhD in sustainability ethics and behavior, he possesses a strong foundation in solution development, influence, persuasion, and strategic thinking.
As the Co-founder and CEO of Human Capital Realisation since 2007, Dr. Brace excels as a Psychological Safety and ESG consultant, driving strategic planning solutions for human capital management. His career highlights include demonstrating leadership in CRM solutions and financial services verticals at IBM Australia and developing and implementing Telstra’s customer service systems strategy as a Consultant to the CIO for Telstra. Dr. Brace’s proactive and consultative style delivers solid results, as reflected in his successful tenure as the President of the School Council at Yarra Primary School.
Dr. Brace has a PhD in Philosophy taken at Swineburne University of Technology.
Markus has several decades of experience in European IT entrepreneurship before he transitioned to sustainability and social entrepreneurship in Southeast Asia and is currently aiding governments worldwide in guiding private sector development towards achieving social impact.
After advising governments across Asia and Africa through the Inclusive Business Action Network and co-founding social enterprises in aiding the development of solar energy and inclusive business markets, Markus now leverages his expertise in catalyzing private sector development towards meaningful social change on a global scale to support governments and organizations in their pursuit of sustainable, inclusive, and impactful solutions.
Markus has a wealth of continuing education including a Masters of Science in International Community Economic Development taken at Southern New Hampshire University, coupled with a BSc in Business Studies at Bayes Business School.
